Belated Birthday Entry
Jan. 30th, 2012 10:03 pmI realized I hadn't really done an entry about my birthday.
Well technically I had thought about it but then decided it was too much like a normal day to say anything about it.
I got up, went to church, there was a youth thing after church so me and my friend went to that. I came home early because I wanted to do computer-y things. I got Passage to Dawn and the Drizzt Collected Stories Anthology by R.A. Salvatore(completing my collection of his books). I think I watched Snake play some Bioshock on youtube and my older sister came in and gave me a wine glass with the first letter of my name on it and she poured me some strawberry wine(I think) and was like "No I have drank with you legally!" and took a picture to send to her friend XD
Anyway, I went to evening church(and OMG that reminds me of something but I'll get to that later) and came back home and I got cards from my Gram, Aunt, and sister and about $70 I think. My Grandma had given me a card and a locket earlier before church that morning. I had some cake and went to bed. The next day a lady from our church who's really nice but crazy, like literally crazy took me and my mom shopping and bought me a dress which is actually quite cute. My last present came later that week from my dad who for some reason decided he needed to get me a laptop cooler(like a thing you set your laptop on and it helps cool it down) but oh well. It's the thought that counts.
So yeah, for a 21st birthday I guess mine was pretty...boring. Normal. Just like pretty much any other day. My sister's supposed to take me to the bar on wednesday but we'll see. Not like I really care if I go or not. /shrug.
Anyway, back to what I remembered earlier. XDD
Yesterday night during evening services me and my friend were just sitting in the pews semi-listening to what was going on and all of the sudden a fly came and landed in my open bible. I eyeballed it for a second before slamming it shut, and to my shock I actually caught the fly. I was so amazed, it was hilarious me and my friend were dying trying to keep from laughing. I'd never done that before. They usually fly away before the book gets closed, but not this time. I wanted to jump up and be like "DID YOU SEE THAT?! SERIOUSLY, DID YOU GUYS JUST SEE WHAT I DID?!" but I didn't, obviously. It was the most amazing thing I felt so epic.
It didn't really squish the fly so luckily the bible didn't get full of bug guts, but I think there's still a leg or two in there. Still. I don't care. It was awesome.
